Denver’s Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation, which promotes community leadership in the city, and local news station 9News have named Shawn Neville, chief executive of footwear lacing systems company Boa, as their leader of the year for 2025.

Aspects of Boa’s and Mr Neville’s work that have led to this recognition include an initiative called Career Possibilities, which seeks to build bridges between students and employers. 

Another factor that led to his selection as leader of the year is his involvement in a mentoring programme for children called Big Brothers Big Sisters.
