Technical textile specialist Beaulieu International Group, or B.I.G. Yarns, has announced plans to expand production capacity at its spinning mill located in Comines, in the north of France. The family-owned company said it was investing €25 million in the project. The new production line is said to be more energy efficient and more flexible, allowing smaller batch sizes.

“This investment underscores our long-term commitment to the European market and our ability to deliver superior and sustainable yarn solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers,” commented Emmanuel Colchen, B.I.G. Yarns general manager.

Based in Waregem, Belgium, B.I.G. employs over 4,700 people worldwide and reported sales of €2 billion in 2023.
