Following its launch of a first rugby boot for women, the S15 Avaglide, sports group adidas has now unveiled the F50 Sparkfusion, a football boot designed for women players.

It said the boot is built specifically to support the performance requirements of the female body, based on “the speed demands of the modern women’s game”.

The company also said it had put together its “biggest-ever female foot sizing and anatomy data pool” in producing the boot. This involved adding “extensive new scans” and detailed feedback from individual players and leading women’s teams to a decade’s worth of existing foot anatomy data from footballers that adidas already had.
