To coincide with the start of Wimbledon 2025, the Italian embassy in London hosted a special collection of tennis rackets.

A curated selection of the rackets that specialist Italian collector Paolo Bertolino has put together and turned into a dedicated museum went on show at the Italian Chamber of Commerce, near London’s Oxford Circus on June 30. The display coincided with the start of this year’s edition of the city’s Grand Slam tennis tournament.

Paolo Bertolino, a professional stringer of rackets, has amassed a collection of more than 1,400 rackets. In 2017, he put them on show in a dedicated museum near Turin with the aim of sharing, through the different sizes, shapes and materials of the rackets, 145 years of the history of tennis.
