Japan’s largest sports industry exhibition, Sportec 2025, closed on August 1 after three successful days at Tokyo’s Big Sight event centre.

Organisers estimated that more than 40,000 visitors had attended across the three days to view product offerings from 450 exhibitors.

There were dedicated areas for sports and training apparel, garments for martial arts, team sports and athletic footwear.

The exhibition also had a section devoted entirely to golf, with equipment and supplies on show, but also technology to analyse visitors’ golf swings and recommend training methods to suit each individual.

A seminar programme included an in-depth panel discussion about the state of the fitness market in Japan and across Asia.
