Recycled PET milestone reflects growing demand, Indorama says

Fibres group Indorama Ventures has reached a milestone in its polyester recycling programme.

On August 5, the Bangkok-based group said the total number of PET bottles it has recycled since 2011 had reached 150 billion.

The company said reaching this milestone underscored its commitment to its recycling infrastructure and to circular economy practices.

It now has 20 recycling facilities in 11 countries transforming used PET into recycled PET resins.

Indorama said reaching this milestone in 2025 also indicated that it has significantly accelerated its PET recycling programme. It took until 2020 to reach the figure of 50 billion bottles. It reached 100 billion in 2023. It said this also reflected growing global demand for recycled content.
