Sharp fall in footwear revenue at Under Armour
Sports group Under Armour has reported revenues of just over $1.1 billion for the first quarter of its current business year, the three months to June 30, 2025. This signifies a fall in revenue of 4.2% compared to the same quarter last year.
Revenues from apparel were down by 1.5% to reach $746.6 million for the quarter. For footwear, the decline was steeper, with revenues of $265.8 million, down by 14.3% year on year.
Accessories brought in just over $100 million, an increase of 8.1%.
Founder and chief executive, Kevin Plank, said Under Armour was going through “a bold transformation”.
He added: “Despite ongoing uncertainty, our brand is gaining strength and we are executing our strategic plan with clarity and confidence.”
