Sizing and fit technology specialist Alvanon has announced a new sizing standard developed specifically for the market in India. 

It said on making the announcement that, although the apparel industry is growing strongly in India, apparel brands and manufacturers there frequently have to rely on size charts meant for other parts of the world.

According to Alvanon, this leads to “poor fit, unhappy customers and higher returns”. It said it had developed its new standards “with real India body data and industry insights”.
