FESI welcomes trade agreement with Indonesia
The Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry (FESI) issued a statement on September 23 to welcome a new economic partnership with the European Union and Indonesia.
It said the agreement was “a major win for the European sporting goods industry”, and testimony to free, fair and sustainable trade, at a time of growing uncertainty in the global trading environment.
FESI described Indonesia as a key manufacturing hub for the sporting goods industry, and home to a large number of production facilities that supply European and global markets. European brands will benefit from greater market access and certainty, while Indonesian suppliers, including thousands of small and medium-sized enterprises, will see expanded opportunities to connect with European consumers, it explained.
