Textile chemicals group Archroma has provided support for a renovation and redevelopment project at Mumbai’s Institute of Chemical Technology, helping to put in place a new laboratory facility there.

The new facility will help the institute in its work to research and develop new technologies in areas including textile processing and effluent treatment. Support from Archroma will also help enhance the learning environment for students at the Mumbai institute. 

Helping to strengthen the technological capabilities of the Institute of Chemical Technology is important, Archroma said, because “only a few institutes continue to offer specialised academic expertise to the textile sector”.
