Use of recycled materials on the increase at Macron
Italy-based sports apparel brand Macron has published its first sustainability report.
One of the main findings is that, in 2024, the company used more recycled materials to manufacture its products.
In the report, Macron said it had used just under 4,000 tonnes of material to make all of its products in 2024. It went on to say that 1,289 tonnes of this was recycled materials, which was 32.3% of the total.
In comparison, Macron said it had consumed 3,741 tonnes of material in 2023. Of this, recycled materials made up 963 tonnes of recycled material, which was 25.7% of the total.
“This achievement represents an important step in the development of a responsible and forward-looking business model that integrates economic performance with social responsibility and environmental commitment,” the company said.
