Snowboard apparel brand turns to eVent
Laminate technology specialist eVent Fabrics has worked with snowboard apparel brand Whitespace to provide weather protection in its Performance 3L pants. The trousers incorporate eVent’s PFAS-free AlpineST laminate.
This technology will provide performance and comfort “in some of the most extreme on-mountain conditions”, eVent Fabrics vice-president, Chad Kelly, said.
He added: “Our partnership with Whitespace will give snowboarders an incredible option for durable weather protection.” He said AlpineST being PFAS-free made it a good option for brands “catering to uncompromising mountain athletes”.
The laminate has durable construction, allowing it to maintain high levels of waterproofness and breathability even after dozens of washes, the technology provider said.
Co-founder of Whitespace, Jesse White, said working with eVent was “the only choice that made sense for us”.
