Funding for skills development for textiles SMEs
Textiles industry representative body Euratex has said small and medium-sized enterprises in textiles, clothing, footwear and leather in ten regions of Europe have a chance of receiving a share of new funding for skills and apprenticeships.
As part of a European Union project called TCLF SkillBridge, the ten regions will receive a combined total of €450,000 to help fund new programmes.
The ten regions are Campania and Tuscany in Italy, Attica in Greece, Central Portugal, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Nouvelle Aquitaine in France, Flanders in Belgium, Baden-Württemberg in Germany, and Catalonia and the Valencia region in Spain.
Euratex said: “This marks an important step in turning regional skills partnership programmes into concrete actions, strengthening the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises.”
