Blends bypass linen challenges, Chinese company claims
Guangzhou-based fabric innovator Regen-tech Fashion has said its strategy of combining lyocell, merino wool and cotton with linen offers apparel brands opportunities to use linen, but without some of the challenges the fibre can present.
“Linen is a staple for warm-weather collections, but structural stiffness and poor recovery often limit its application in modern apparel,” Regen-tech Fashion said.
It said the blends it has engineered optimise drape, flexibility and dimensional stability, while maintaining linen’s natural breathability.
