‘Verifiable metrics’ promise from Chargeurs
Fabrics, interlinings and clothing components manufacturer Chargeurs PCC has said it will begin sharing third-party-verified product carbon footprint data relating to 100 products this autumn.
This is to follow up on a commitment Chargeurs made a year ago to reduce its scope-one and scope-two emissions by 42% by 2030.
It said sharing this information is a way of providing brands with “verifiable environmental metrics” that align with its 2030 sustainability targets.
To support these objectives, the company included a zero-water-dyeing collection of products in the offerings it put on show at the Future Fabrics Expo in Brussels on June 24 and 25.
