Positive first half for BASF
Chemicals group BASF has reported first-half revenues of €33.2 billion, an increase of 6.2% year on year.
Its chemicals division brought in €6.25 billion in the six-month period, up by 18.5% year on year.
Its materials division, which includes performance materials and monomers, had revenues of just over €7 billion, up by 5.1%.
Industrial solutions, which includes coatings, plastics and adhesives, achieved revenues of €4.4 billion, flat compared to the previous year’s figures.
The group said stronger prices and higher volumes had contributed to a positive performance in the first half of the year.
