Important milestone for Vaude
Outdoor brand Vaude has announced that it has reached its target for reducing greenhouse gas emissions five years ahead of schedule.
Vaude set itself the target of cutting its emissions by more than 50% by 2030, using figures from 2019 as the baseline.
Now, in a report it has published on its environmental performance in 2025, the company has shown that it has already achieved a reduction of 51% on the 2019 figure.
It pointed out that this decrease in emissions had happened over a timeframe in which its annual revenues have increased by 19%.
It said this was an important milestone on its target of reaching net zero by 2040.
Commenting on reaching this milestone, chief executive, Antje von Dewitz, said Vaude would continue to look for ways to lower its impact on the environment.
She said: “The current heatwaves and wildfires clearly demonstrate how urgently effective climate action is needed. That is precisely why we must not lose momentum. Consistent action can make a real difference. Together, we can change the course.”
