The Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA) will take part in two seminar events exploring a hot topic at Intertextile Shanghai at the end of August. 

The exhibition, organised by Messe Frankfurt, runs from August 25-27. 

HKRITA’s conference participation will be on August 26. First, senior engineer Derek Lai will speak about “passive cooling”, with the emphasis on using performance textiles to achieve a cooling effect in clothing. 

Following this, he will take part in a panel discussion on the subject of ‘climate-adaptive textiles for a changing future’.
