Sports group Nike has announced that Jane Ewing will join as its new chief commercial officer on September 7. 

She will join from retail group Wal-Mart, where she has worked for 14 years, holding leadership roles in merchandising, digital acceleration and international operations. Before that, Ms Ewing worked for drinks company Diageo. 

Nike chief executive, Elliott Hill, said Ms Ewing has “a genuine passion for sport and a strong belief in the power of brands to inspire and connect with consumers”.
