September is too good for hiking for Oboz to take in New York

Montana-based outdoor footwear brand Oboz has said it has no interest in being represented at New York Fashion Week, which begins on September 10. 

The company said it realised top designers, influential fashion journalists and celebrities from around the world would be in New York for “high fashion’s annual gathering”.  

But company president, Amy Beck, said: “September is just such a beautiful month for hiking. We could not reasonably ask our people to trade their ridge-lines for a runway.”
