Organiser of the Intertextile Shanghai exhibition, Messe Frankfurt, has said this year’s autumn event, which took place at the end of August was “another successful edition”. 

There were 3,500 exhibitors from 30 countries and more than 100,000 visitors from all parts of the world. 

Messe Frankfurt said the four key pillars at the core of the exhibition were fashion-forward, performance textiles, sustainability and ‘textile future’. These themes shaped discussions between exhibitors and buyers, the organiser said.

It added that this was a reflection of sourcing today, which “increasingly combines creativity, technical performance, sustainable practices and digital innovation”.
