EverDye grant will fund ITMA trip
French start-up EverDye has been selected by CEMATEX (European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers) for a start-up grant.
Founded in 2021, EverDye developed a bio-based pigment dyeing process that it claims cuts energy consumption by eight times compared with traditional textile dyeing methods.
During EverDye’s process, the fabric is treated to create a negative surface charge, forming specific anchoring points on the fibres. The pigments are combined with a bio-based organic polymer binder that gives them a positive charge. When introduced to the pre-treated fabric, the opposite charges attract each other, locking the pigment onto the fibres.
The grant will fund EverDye’s participation at ITMA 2027 in Hanover, with the aim of securing further investment and partners.
