Recognition for BASF polyamide 6 recycing pilots

BASF has received recognition from the plastics industry for pilot projects exploring recycling polyamide 6 (PA6) presented. One of the ideas involves depolymerisation; the other focuses on solvent-based recycling.  

This work has earned BASF one of the Materialica Awards for 2026 and a second place in the Fakuma Innovation Award 2026. 

The awards recognised technological progress at pilot scale and the potential of both processes to contribute to closed material loops.
