ACIMIT names new chairman

ACIMIT, the Association of Italian textile Machinery Manufacturers, named Paolo Banfi as its new chairman at the association’s annual general meeting in
Mr. Banfi, managing director and shareholder of Comez. S.p.A., had held the position of vice chairman of the association since 2000. He succeeds Alberto M. Sacchi.
ACIMIT represents more than 200 Italian textile machinery and accessory companies, whose production represents 85% of the entire Italian textile machinery production, and 13 associated members (consortia, technical schools, technical magazines, and research centres).
