India’s CCEA approves scheme for Integrated Textile Parks

India’s Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved a Scheme for Integrated Textile Parks for creating up to 25 export parks.

It has also approved a budget of Rs. 625 crores ($143,970,736) in 2005-06 and 2006-07 for the scheme.

It is expected that these will have an international infrastructure to house approximately 1,250 state-of-the-art textile units, aimed at creating a substantial increase in textile exports.
