US-based chemical producer, DuPont, has reported higher sales for the second quarter of 2005, but consolidated net sales were $7.5 billion, essentially flat versus the second quarter 2004 which included $0.6 billion in sales from the Textiles & Interiors businesses divested on April 30, 2004. Net income for the second quarter was $1,015 million.
