As the result of a partnership between Degussa AG in Duesseldorf and BASF AG in Ludwigshafen,  Degussa’s Goldschmidt Polyurethane Additives Business Line in Essen will take over the worldwide sales and technical service of triethylene diamine (TEDA).

BASF has also increased its production at a new plant built for the manufacture of TEDA at its integrated production site in Antwerp, Belgium, which began operations in April 2005.

TEDA, which is sold under the trade name Tegoamin, is a catalyst in manufacturing of many high-grade polyurethane (PUR) foams.
