New safety footwear designed for gardening

Having noticed a gap in the market for protective footwear for gardeners, US designer Russell Stark decided to design one himself. After 18 months of development he has now launched LawnGrips, which are specifically designed for traction, safety and comfort while mowing the lawn.

The key feature of LawnGrips is said to be the patented outsole that offers exceptional traction on slick, grassy terrain. The tread technology was developed for soccer shoes to support pushing, turning and stopping while easily shedding grass clippings and dirt. For safety, all LawnGrips shoes are made with a steel toe under the rugged, moulded rubber toe. Additional features include a composite insole board with polyurethane midsole for comfort and support and waterproof, stain-resistant leather uppers.
