Global manufacturer of differentiated and commodity chemicals, Huntsman Corporation has appointed Marsha J. Evans to the company's board of directors effective August 10, 2005. Ms. Evans will serve on the nominating and corporate governance committee.

Ms. Evans has been president and CEO of The American Red Cross since August 2002. She served with the United States Navy for 29 years, where she was commissioned ensign in 1968 and attained the rank of rear admiral before retiring in 1998.

Huntsman’s operating companies manufacture basic products for a variety of global industries including chemicals, footwear, textiles, and plastics.
