Israel-based manufacturer of seamless intimate apparel, activewear and swimwear Tefron Ltd., has reported a 9.1% growth in sales for the second quarter ended June 30, 2005. Sales reached $49.8 million compared with $45.6 million in the second quarter of 2004. Gross profit for the second quarter was $8.4 million, compared with $7.6 million in the same period in 2004. Net income rose to $1.5 million over $90,000 in the same quarter of the prior year.

For the first six months sales reached $102.4 million, up 8.4% compared with sales of $94.5 million for the same period last year. Gross profit for the first six months was $16.7 million, compared with $14.8 million for the same period last year. Net income was $2.7 million over $196,000 a year earlier.
