Gap launches new chain

Gap Inc. is to open the first of its new women’s apparel stores, Forth & Towne, on August 24, in New York, and will open a further four stores in the Chicago area on August 31. Aimed at meeting the needs of women over the age of 35, the concept offers fashionable clothing designed under four brands tailored to a range of lifestyles. The brands, Allegory, Vocabulary, Prize and Gap Edition, will offer casual, business or formal apparel.
