Puma plans expansion

Puma has announced plans to expand the brand both in terms of the product range and production capacity. It plans to move into new areas to cover sports lifestyle, performance and fashion footwear and apparel.

Puma also intends expanding on a regional basis to strengthen its position in global markets, through joint ventures and increasing business with its current partners. The first such expansion will, with its current licence partners in Japan (apparel business), China/Hong Kong and Taiwan as well as setting up fully-owned subsidiaries in India and Dubai for the Middle East region, all of which are planned to be operational as of 1st of January 2006.
