Pakistan’s leather sports goods exports fall month-on-month

Pakistan exported leather sports goods worth $26.45 million in July 2005 compared with $34.56 in June 2005. This equates to a fall of 23.4% on a month-on-month basis. However, compared with July 2004 when exports only reached $18.68 million the figures represent a 46.41% increase over same month a year ago.

According to the Federal Bureau of Statistics, of the total sports goods exports during in July 2005, footballs accounted for $12.7 million, gloves $1.91 million and other goods $11.83 million compared with $22.15 million, $2.09 million and $10.30 million respectively in June 2005.
