The North Face launches new base layer range
The North Face has launched a new range of super light base layers using its Equilibrium fabric. Constructed from two different types of long hollow-core polypropylene yarn, Equilibrium is said to offer lightweight, close-fitting and soft garments with excellent thermal properties and rapid moisture transfer.
The long filament yarn reduces the risk of pilling and this, with added silver ions, avoids the build up of bacteria which can cause odours.
The new base layers are available in three weights and constructions: seamless - for activities where insulation and breathability are required with a high level of freedom of movement; flight series – for the multi-sport athlete who requires a lightweight base layer with thermal properties; summit series – a mid-weight base layer for the more serious athlete where extremes of weather, terrain and temperature demand a high level of performance.
