Benetton reports lower revenues

The Benetton Group has reported lower revenues for the first half of 2005. The company reported revenues of €842 million compared with €860 million in the corresponding period of 2004. The company said that performance had been affected by the more aggressive sales policy starting with the 2005 fall/winter collection and benefited from improved product mix, as well as from initiatives undertaken for development of the sales network.
Net income for the period was €63 million compared with €69 million in the first half of 2004.
