US-based designer of performance footwear, apparel and accessories for running, Brooks Sports, Inc., has announced a research and development partnership with BioMechanica, LLC in the area of product development and testing services for footwear.

As an outside research partner, BioMechanica will offer supplemental information to Brooks’ in-house test findings and lend its knowledge of athletic footwear analysis and evaluation. BioMechanica will also provide Brooks with independent evaluation and validation of R&D concepts generated within Brooks’ Advanced Concepts department. In addition, BioMechanica will make recommendations regarding the Brooks testing lab so the facility will continue its leading-edge operations into the future.

BioMechanica is a private independent consulting firm with in-house evaluation and testing capabilities that specialises in athletic footwear research and development.
