NSC and Rieter to collaborate on nonwovens

28/09/2005

NSC Groupe, France and Rieter Textile Systems, Switzerland have signed a cooperation agreement between their nonwovens businesses: NSC nonwoven (Asselin-Thibeau), France and Rieter Perfojet, France

The companies stated that nonwoven producers will benefit from the ability of both companies to supply a complete process as turnkey systems from a single source, such as a larger range of machinery made by both NSC nonwoven and Rieter Perfojet. The expertise of NSC nonwoven in process technologies from opening and blending equipment, wide cards, airlay cards, crosslappers, drafters, needlelooms to fully automatic high speed winders and slitter-rewinders is said to complement Rieter Perfojet’s hydro-entanglement systems, as well as its spunbond technology.

Rieter Perfojet’s trial facility in Montbonnot will be completed by the NSC nonwoven equipment. This demonstration line will feature all the latest technologies from both companies. Nonwovens producers will be able to assess the viability of their new projects in the same industrial conditions that they would in their future plant.

NSC Group consists of five business units: NSC fibre to yarn, NSC nonwoven, NSC packaging, NSC system solutions and NSC services. In 2004 NSC generated €117.2 million in sales with 1,100 employees. Rieter Group operates internationally, developing and producing systems for the textile and automotive industries.
