Lupo eyes Arab countries

Lupo, one of the largest Brazilian sock and men's underwear producers, is planning to expand its presence in the Arab market. The company that already sells to Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon and to the United Arab Emirates will now export to Qatar and Bahrain. "Our exports to the Arabs grow year by year," stated the company commercial director, Valquírio Ferreira Cabral.

According to Cabral, the Arab countries are not great producers in the textile sector and for this reason he believes that there are chances to increase market participation.

Lupo exports 10% of production to 32 countries. The main markets for company products are France, Uruguay, Chile and the United States.

With over 80 years in the market, Lupo was one of the pioneer sock producers in Brazil, and one of the first to use polyamides in men's and children's socks.
