DyStar Auxiliaries GmbH, the textile auxiliaries company of DyStar Textilfarben GmbH, Frankfurt, Germany has launched a new skincare finish for textiles, Evo Care Vital. The new product contains a special combination of vitamin E, aloe vera and jojoba oil that are embedded in a special silicone matrix and are said to give apparel anti-ageing properties.

The finish moisturises the skin and protects it against pollution and dangerous UV radiation. It is applied as the last step in conventional pad and exhaust finishing processes, which is then followed by careful drying in mild conditions to ensure the treated textiles retain their protective properties. However, once treated, fabrics with this finish are said to be suitable for laundering at 40°C.
