Donaldson Membranes, a worldwide provider of filtration systems and replacement parts, has been awarded quality standard ISO/TS16949:2002 at its Hull manufacturing plant in the UK.

The Hull plant manufactures filtration products for a wide range of applications, including Donaldson Membranes' high performance Tetratex ePTFE membranes: Tetratex Release, Tetratex, Tetratex High Efficiency and Tetratex Ultra High Efficiency. These high performance laminates supply dust cake release, low pressure drop, higher air flow, and high efficiency.

"We are proud to have achieved this standard following a 12-month period of work involving most of our staff," said Hull plant quality manager, Ian Metcalfe.

"We've had the ISO 9001:2000 certificate for 15 years, so this project involved analysing gaps in the current system and rectifying them, improving working practices and writing new procedures. Attaining this new standard will open up opportunities in new markets as customers have previously requested us to become holders of the certificate."
