US retailer of action sports-related apparel, footwear, equipment and accessories Zumiez Inc. has reported record results for the third quarter and nine months ended October 29, 2005.

Total net sales for the third quarter ended October 29, 2005 increased by 27.2% to $57.4 million from $45.1 million reported in the third quarter of the prior year. The company posted net income for the quarter of $5.3 million versus net income of $3.5 million in the comparable period of 2004.

Total net sales for the first nine months of fiscal 2005 increased by 29.4% to $130.2 million from $100.6 million reported in the first nine months of the prior year. Net income reached $6.1 million versus $3 million in the prior year.

Zumiez focuses on skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, motocross and BMX.
