Lenzing Group to increase fibre prices

21/11/2005

Austria-based producer of man-made cellulose fibres The Lenzing Group, will increase its fibre prices by at least 5% at the beginning of the first quarter of 2006. The exact price increases will depend on the fibre type and apply to textile and nonwoven fibres.

According to the company, this further rise in prices is necessary due to the steady price increase of raw materials and rising energy costs at all Lenzing production sites during the past weeks, which cannot be compensated by the price increases that are being implemented by Lenzing in the fourth quarter of 2005.
