Adidas-Salomon AG has appointed Rob Langstaff as president of adidas America Inc., its subsidiary in North America, effective January 1, 2006. A US citizen and 14-year adidas veteran, Mr Langstaff will be in charge of its operations in the North American market and report directly to Erich Stamminger, CEO of adidas America and executive board member of adidas-Salomon AG responsible for global marketing and North America. Most recently, Mr Langstaff served as president of adidas Japan K.K., having begun his career at adidas in 1991 as a manager in the track and field category.
