Manufacturing of textiles in EU falls 4.3%

The manufacturing of textiles and textile products dropped 4.3% and 3.5% respectively in September compared with August, this was despite the fact that overall industrial new orders rose by 1.1%
During the same period, transport equipment grew by 4.4% in the euro-zone and by 8.9% in the EU25. Electrical and electronic equipment rose by 2.8% in the euro-zone but fell by 0.1% in the EU25. Basic metals and fabricated metal products increased by 1.0% in the euro-zone but declined by 1.2% in the EU25. Manufacturing of chemicals and chemical products gained 0.2% and 0.4% respectively. Machinery and equipment fell by 0.8% in the euro-zone and by 1.7% in the EU25.
