EU plans to impose quotas on Chinese footwear

According to a report in the Financial Times, the European Union is planning to impose quotas on Chinese leather footwear following the recent anti-dumping investigation.

The EU Trade Commissioner is set to announce the measures that will be taken on November 30, when the outcome of the European enquiry will be revealed. 

According to a senior EU official, who is quoted in the report, inspectors found compelling evidence of dumping whilst inspecting facilities in Asia.
