Everlast CEO passes away

Everlast Worldwide's chairman and CEO, George Horowitz has died, aged 55, due to kidney cancer, having just last month celebrated his fifth year of ownership of the company.

His son, Seth Horowitz, will assume the role as chairman and CEO, as well as retain the title of president of the company.

Mr Horowitz became CEO and chairman of Everlast in October of 2000 after merging his company, Active Apparel Group, Inc., into Everlast Holdings Corporation. He spent over 30 years in the apparel and sporting goods businesses.
