Canada’s Hemptown Clothing Inc. has announced that it is supplying alternative textiles to US brands Serum Versus Venom (SVSV) and Triple Five Soul for their newest fashion lines. The brands will use bamboo and soy in their cutting-edge street-inspired apparel.

Hemptown president Jason Finnis said, "Our partnership with SVSV will promote alternative organic fabrics to a mainstream fashion customer.” He added, "SVSV is an ideal partner and our two companies will work together to explore innovative ways of taking hemp, bamboo, soy, and our soon to be released Crailar fibre into high fashion and street-inspired brands."

Crailar is an enzyme process, developed by Hemptown and the Canadian federal science organisation NRC, which transforms industrial hemp into a soft, white fibre.
