The Dow Chemical Company has announced it is nearing completion of a substantial upgrade to its Midland, Michigan, USA, production facility for Saran resins and films business.

Saran resins and films are used in textile lamination for protective clothing, fibres, and a variety of industrial applications as well as for food packaging applications.

"This investment in state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and technologies enhances our ability to deliver innovative Saran products that open up new applications for customers and enable them to offer higher barrier differentiated end products," said Carlos Ruiz, global product marketing manager for Saran resins and films.
