Pakistan exported sports goods worth $25.114 million in December, compared with $19.713 million in November, equating to a 27.55% increase month-on-month and a 23.7% rise compared with December 2004 ($20.326 million). According to the figures released by Federal Bureau of Statistics, football exports rose 32.73% to reach $16.248 million, gloves exports increased 4.4% to $1.470 million, whilst other sports goods exports grew 22.46% to reach $7.426 million, compared with $12.241 million, $1.408 million and $6.064 million respectively in the previous month.
Total exports of sports goods during the July-December 2005 period increased 0.97% and stood to $136.38 million compared with $135.072 million in the corresponding period of the prior year.
The July-December 2005 breakdown showed that Pakistan exported footballs worth $85.565 million, gloves worth $9.451 million and other goods worth $41.364 million compared with $79.869 million, $15.804 million and $39.399 million in July-November 2004.
