The 8th Turkish Fashion Fabric Exhibition (TFFE) which was held at Olympia 2, London, was considered a success by the 80 leading Turkish fabric manufacturers who took part. There were increased numbers of UK visitors, including some of the UK’s top fashion retailers, among them John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Next, Debenhams, Miss Selfridge, Principles, River Island, Top Shop and Tesco. Attendance figures grew by 14% compared to February 2005.

The Turkish Fashion Fabric Exhibition is organised by ITKIB – the Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters’ Association.

ITKIB is now considering moving the exhibition dates for 2007 forward.  Adnan Bakkal, member of the ITKIB board, said: We are looking at the feasibility of moving TFFE London to two to three weeks after Premier Vision from 2007; with the PV dates being earlier in the season and Milan Unica changing dates the European circuit of fabric fairs is now very close together. Moving our dates later means buyers visit TFFE London with ease and it gives us an opportunity to play to our strengths.”
